Goals & Mission
The UCLA Translational Pathology Core Laboratory (TPCL) is a research facility in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine and the Johnson Comprehensive Cancer Center dedicated to providing a variety of tissue-related services critical for the progress of biomedical research.
The TPCL currently provides the following services:
- Tissue Procurement (fresh, snap frozen, formalin-fixed)
- Tissue sectioning of frozen or paraffin-embedded tissue.
- IHC/ISH
- Digital slide scanning and image analysis, including quantitative IHC
- LCM
- Pathology consultation services
- Advice on research protocols, safety issues, and IRB application.
