The UCLA Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is heavily invested in both clinical and basic medical research.
While Federal funding has been generous, support of individuals, families, and trusts can provide the additional impetus for driving
valuable research or creating new clinical tools.  An example is the Sarkaria Biomarker Innovations Laboratories.  Generously funded by
the Sarkaria family, it will enhance the ability to bring novel ground-breaking tests to the patient quickly.
