Fellowship Training:

Cardiovascular Pulmonary Pathology Fellowship 

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the UCLA Center for Health Sciences offers a one or two year fellowship in clinical and experimental Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Pathology starting July 1st.  UCLA is a leading center of clinical practice and research in cardiac transplantation, congenital heart disease, and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, as well as lung cancer and interstitial lung disease.  The fellow will participate in these programs and other scholarly activities related to teaching and research.  The fellow will daily review cardiovascular pathology specimens. The fellow will participate in autopsy evaluation of cardiovascular specimens from adults and children, including congenital malformations, and all forms of acquired heart disease.  The fellow will be encouraged to design and carry-out independent research. The fellow will participate in teaching cardiovascular pathology to medical and dental students, clinical and pathology residents and fellows, and cardiovascular physicians. One fellowship position is offered per academic year.

Requirements: The applicant should be board eligible in Anatomic Pathology and eligible for licensure in California. California medical license must be active by start of fellowship.

Stipends: Support is commensurate with the candidate's level of training.
