Dr. Lassman is a Stanford University alumnus where he completed a renal disease and transplant fellowship and studied with the acclaimed pathologist Dr. Richard Kempson.
Dr. Lassman is a highly regarded specialist in medical kidney disease and hepatopathology. His expertise includes the interpretation of immunofluorescence and electron microscopy studies.
Dr. Lassman leads the team of hepatopathologists at Geffen-UCLA where he annually evaluates hundreds of difficult liver biopsies, related to both medical liver disease and hepatic neoplasms. He has a special diagnostic interest in the interpretation of difficult liver transplant biopsies. In addition, he receives each year hundreds of renal biopsies for diagnostic evaluation.
