Gastrointestinal and Liver Pathology

The gastrointestinal and liver pathology service at UCLA provides rapid and high quality diagnostic histopathology on gastrointestinal endoscopic biopsies, liver biopsies, and resections of the gastrointestinal and hepatopancreatico-biliary systems. Our services aid clinicians to provide the most appropriate care for such conditions as: inflammatory bowel disease; Barrett's esophagus; gastritis, including complications of Helicobacter pylori, such as lymphoma and carcinoma; colonic neoplasia; celiac disease and other malabsorptive states; hepatitis C and other forms of chronic liver disease; Hemachromatosis; hepatic, pancreatic, and biliary tumors.
