Dermatopathology

Dermatopathology is the pathology subspecialty concerned with the diagnosis of skin disease. The dermatopathology program at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA provides diagnosis of both inflammatory skin diseases and neoplastic skin diseases, with special expertise in diagnosing cutaneous lymphoid tumors and challenging melanocytic lesions. The program employs a number of stellar dermatopathologists with numerous publications in leading journals. Our pathologists are always available to referring physicians for second opinions, discussion of prognosis, treatment options or special needs.
