
Dr. Binder is an internationally-known dermatopathologist with a specialty in pigmented and lymphoid lesions of the skin. He is a speaker at international conferences, most recently in Seoul, Korea, and Beijing, China, where he was inducted into the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. With a dual appointment in the Departments of Pathology and Dermatology, Dr. Binder is Chief of Dermatopathology, Director of Pathology Outreach Services, and Founder/Director of the Dermatopathology Fellowship Program.
A graduate of the University of Chicago, both undergraduate and Medical School, Dr. Binder completed his fellowship with Dr. James Graham of the Scripps Institute and studied with Dr. Bernard Ackerman at New York University. Dr. Binder was Director of Surgical Pathology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center before accepting the appointment as Clinical Expert in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
Dr. Binder is a widely-known guest lecturer and award winning teacher. His consultations are recognized for their clinical insights and diagnostic acumen.
