Dr. Abrishami is a board certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist and has devoted his career to the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of skin diseases. He is assistant chief of dermatopathology at UCLA, and is active in both Departments of Pathology and Dermatology.

Dr. Abrishami grew up in Los Angeles and attended UCLA for his undergraduate studies. He went to Cornell University for medical school and completed a residency in Dermatology at the University of Minnesota, followed by a Dermatopathology fellowship at UT Southwestern with Clay Cockerell, M.D. After working with many of the great leaders in both fields, he has developed a distinct style in teaching and arriving at diagnoses.

For Dr. Abrishami, dermatology and dermatopathology are inseparable; he welcomes students who are interested in learning the subject in a spirited way and challenging the conventional dogmas.
