- research is focused on the function and regulation of the juvenile hemochromatosis gene HJV, and its protein product hemojuvelin. The title of her dissertation will be ‘Sensing Iron: Mechanism of Iron Dependent Regulation of Hepcidin by Hemojuvelin”
- research is centered on the study of arginase deficiency and the construction of a transgenic mouse extending to the study of prostate cancer and the possible role of arginase in cancer pathogenesis. The working title of Josh’s dissertation is: “Characterization of the Arginase I/Arginase II Double Knockout Mouse."
